Darimo's carbon forge, which is located in the beautiful region around Valencia on the east coast of Spain, has been producing some of the lightest carbon parts currently available for all types of bikes for some time now.
With the Epsilon stem/handlebar unit for MTBs, Darimo Carbon has once again raised the bar significantly. Made from high-quality carbon fibers, it weighs less than most handlebars without a stem. Darimo uses a specially developed lamination process. The layer structure is individually adapted depending on the width and stem length. Neuralgic points are reinforced, while less material is required elsewhere. This not only achieves the sensational weights, but also passes the ISO 4210-2 test standard and the components can be approved for rider weights of up to 90 kg. In addition, titanium bolts and aluminum barrel nuts lighten the Epsilon unit and still ensure reliable clamping on your steerer tube.
Thanks to the large selection of stem lengths and angles, every racer will find their ideal setup.The cockpit is lowered considerably to ensure sufficient pressure on the front wheel at all times and always ensures sufficient contact with the ground. The handlebars have a pronounced backsweep so that you can survive long races without aching arms. This puts your wrists in an anatomically ideal position without buckling too much.
The internally reinforced handlebar ends are an interesting and useful feature. If you do fall or simply drop your bike on its side, the risk of damage is definitely lower. Darimo therefore does not recommend shortening the handlebars.
Important assembly instructions
Always follow the instructions for the product. The stem may be clamped to the steerer tube with a maximum torque of 4 Nm and a torque of 2 Nm should not be exceeded on the shift/brake levers. Please approach the necessary force for secure fastening and adhere to the maximum values. We recommend using a high-quality carbon assembly paste during assembly. If you do not have the necessary expertise or tools for correct installation, the installation must be carried out by a specialist workshop with the appropriate knowledge.
