Cyclingceramic transforms a standard high-end chain into an exceptional chain through several elaborate work steps. The optimizations make it possible to save an average of 5 watts over a running time of 700 kilometers compared to the manufacturer's version.
First, Cyclingceramic removes the original oil from the chain in an ultrasonic bath and also with a highly efficient, biodegradable degreaser. The chain is then heated to 60 degrees in a degreasing bath for 30 minutes. The chain is then heated and the treatment with the friction-reducing ingredients can begin. A wax is used as the base, to which numerous additives are added. After the 24-hour drying process, the chain is run in on the test bench to remove excess wax and ensure that it offers maximum performance out-of-the-box for racing. As a final step, the friction-reducing Teflon powder is applied to the chain using a compressor, which reduces resistance by a further 15 percent.
To get the best performance out of your racing chain, it should not be ridden in wet conditions or come into contact with moisture during bike maintenance. After the chain has lost its coating after approx. 700 kilometers, it can be re-waxed or oiled like any standard chain.
