The Continental Grand Sport Race is the most flexible model in the Grand Sport range and is suitable for both training and competition. It is manufactured by hand and has a proven race tread pattern that ensures responsive handling, secure grip and very high mileage. The tire offers first-class performance both on tours and in competition. As an all-rounder, it is ready to take on any challenge, including the toughest.

PureGrip Compound
Based on the activated silica compound, a compound technology in the performance segment was worked towards with determination. After intensive development work, the result from Continental's Korbach research and development department was a new compound technology with outstanding grip and cross-country properties. The new rubber compound with the self-explanatory name PureGrip joins Continental's BlackChili Compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here it ensures long-lasting traction and high mileage for Continental tires, which are manufactured exclusively in the production facility in Hefei (Asia).

NyTechBreaker - nylon fabric for the performance range
The new NyTech puncture protection was developed on the basis of the proven Continental SafetySystem Breaker. Its nylon fabric makes it resistant to punctures and cuts like Kevlar-reinforced high-strength fibers, but offers lower rolling resistance and reduced weight. The NyTech Breaker ranks between the SafetySystem and the PolyX Breaker® as a more effective puncture protection cover in the performance range.

NOTE: The tire is not suitable for tubeless use and not for use on hookless rims.
