The Biturbo RSX is the latest evolutionary stage of the legendary 6-spoke monocoque wheels from the Würzburg carbon experts. The wheelset has been given 5 mm more internal width and a lower overall weight. But how is this possible? By adapting the layer structure, the clever minds behind BIKE AHEAD COMPOSITES were able to give it these features and at the same time increase the permissible system weight from 95 kg to 115 kg. The scales say: 1320g. Chapeau!
The angular design of the Biturbo RSX makes one thing unmistakably clear: these bikes need action! The sharp lines underline its sporty character, while the use of high-strength carbon fibres makes it possible to optimize the laminate structure so that additional material is available exactly where it is needed. This has reduced the weight without reducing the stiffness, which is noticeable in the incredible acceleration and enormous riding safety off-road. The special arrangement of the spokes has been optimized for the use of disc brakes. A twisted construction follows the flow of force during braking. In addition, the cross-sections of the rim and spokes are based on the principles of aerodynamics and offer little resistance to the airstream. The Biturbo RSX meets the current trend towards greater comfort and riding safety through the use of wider tires with its enlarged rim width of 33 mm. This ensures ultimate directional stability when cornering, even with low air pressure.
The high-quality hubs, which are based on the proven DT Swiss 240, also contribute to the good performance. Their smooth running, durability and functionality are legendary and the toothed disk freewheel guarantees you undisturbed propulsion.
