Acros' hobbyhorse is bearings, in the form of headset bearings, hub bearings and, of course, bottom brackets. This innovative TPF (threaded pressfit) bottom bracket is designed to eliminate a disadvantage of classic pressfit bearings: cracking and creaking. The injection-moulded housing, which guarantees a coaxial fit by screwing the two bearing sides together, brings acoustic silence to the bottom bracket. Double-sealed deep groove ball bearings made of stainless steel are used on the inside. On the outside, an extra seal protects against dirt and moisture, as well as against contact between the crank axle and the ball bearing.
Ball bearings are and remain wearing parts, which is why the bearings on all Acros bottom brackets can be easily replaced with new Acros bearings.
