SRAM's XX1 group ushered in a new era in mountain biking. A front chainring and a wide stepped pinion block decorate many bikes from Cross Counrty to Allmountain. Absolute Black has developed a combination of single chainring and Spider that can be mounted on any SRAM GXP crank in the XX1, X0, X9 or X7 range. The combination is screwed directly to the crank arm. This saves weight, is very stiff and ensures a clean and individual look. A 7075 Txxx aluminum alloy ensures low wear. The chainrings have special teeth that prevent the chain from jumping off. The principle follows that of the SRAM XX1 chainrings. In conjunction with a SRAM Type2 or Shimano Shadow + rear derailleur, which have a greatly increased bias of the cage, the chain is reliably held in position even without chain guide.
Ovalization of the chainring enhances performance through powertrain variation and drag optimization. When pedaling with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are reconciled. Thus, a better use of the stronger muscle groups is achieved and in the weaker muscles a balance in the working path (lower stroke) created.
This chainring is specially designed for the new BOOST 148 standard. Due to the slight offset, the chain line optimized for the new 1-speed drives.
Note: compatible with SRAM / Truvativ GXP and BB30 cranks . BB30 cranks are only compatible if it is the longer axle model. These are recognizable by the installed 16 mm spacer on the drive side.
