Modern cross-country races are becoming increasingly harder and more technically demanding for people and material. While a few years ago a high-end XC wheelset was supposed to be light and stiff, the requirement profile has now become significantly broader. With the 1ZERO HiTOP wheels, Zipp takes this development into account. True to their company slogan "Making you Faster", Zipp engineers have developed wheels that help the pilot master technical single trails and angled sections of road with less effort. With a weight of only 1495 grams (wheel set), the wheels can be accelerated easily. Thanks to the HiTOP layup technology in conjunction with just 24 spokes, the carbon rims can adapt to the terrain. This means you can ride over rugs and rock gardens at more speed and have to use less energy to get your bike back up to speed. At the same time, the wheels offer sufficient durability and safety reserves to be used on a trail bike with 130 millimeters of suspension travel and a system weight of up to 130 kilograms (rider and bike). However, the flex of the wheels remains at such a low level that the spoke tension remains sufficiently high and no spoke nipples can come loose.
Another highlight is the rim profile of the 1ZERO HiTOP wheels. With an internal width of 30 millimeters, the hookless profile gives modern cross-country tires very good support at low air pressures and prevents the tires from buckling after jumps or in fast corners. In order to minimize the risk of tire and rim damage from hard impacts, the rim flanges of the wheels are extremely wide and have a rounded transition to the top. This means that when punctures occur, the pressure is transferred to the tire from a relatively large area without sharp edges, which significantly reduces the risk of snakebites.
Zipp ZM900 hub
The 1ZERO HiTOP S wheels are equipped with the reliable Zipp ZM900 hubs. The front wheel hub for forks with 15x110 millimeter BOOST standard can be equipped with both 31 millimeter Roch-Shox torque caps and 19 millimeter standard end caps (both versions included in delivery).

Zipp gives you a lifetime guarantee on your Zipp balance bike if used properly. The guarantee also covers racing use and damage caused by driving errors, as long as the wheel was used in accordance with its intended use. The guarantee only applies to the original purchaser and proof of purchase is mandatory!
