This Direct Mount MTB chainring was specially designed for cranks with SRAM 8-hole standard. Unlike conventional chains, the plates on the inside are specially shaped for smooth running and good durability. However, this shape also requires chainrings that are optimally tailored to the chain. With the Shimano Direct Mount HG+ chainring, WOLF TOOTH has exactly the right one on offer.
