The Thundero can do it all. The middle section of the tread, which consists of densely packed cube-shaped blocks, ensures speed and surprisingly quiet rolling.The three indented rows of blocks on the outer tread literally bite into any surface, providing excellent grip even on loose ground and allowing you to turn sharply without losing grip.
The wide tread and the durable, flexible Jubena layer covering the sidewalls protect the tire from damage caused by stones. A puncture-proof layer under the tread minimizes the risk of punctures and contributes to the overall reliability of the tire. The flexible casing construction, together with the soft tread compound, absorbs any bumps and prevents the tire from bouncing unnecessarily. The Thundero is also durable and designed for high mileage.
SPC Silica Compound
This high-performance road racing rubber compound is used in almost all TUFO tires. With the balanced mix of synthetic and natural rubbers with activated silica filler, the tire offers excellent grip in wet conditions and low rolling resistance.
Puncture Proof Ply
CRCA is a special composite material that uses high modulus long aramid fibers that are incorporated into the carcass during manufacturing. CRCA increases puncture resistance and puncture protection and also improves riding comfort.
HD version
The HD version is made from a more robust fabric with a lower TPI value. However, for the price of an additional weight of 30 grams and a slightly higher rolling resistance compared to the non-HD version, the puncture protection is significantly higher.
