Trickstuff Brake Pads are made from organic materials and bonded with synthetic resin. Organic pads have the great advantage of being a thermal insulator, which protects the seals in the brake caliper from overheating. To improve the braking properties and reduce abrasion, the pad contains small amounts of metal particles. Nevertheless, the pads are largely organic, one could also say they are semi-metallic. This mixture results in optimum dry and wet braking values and also keeps wear on the disc to a minimum.
Thanks to the 2 mm steel backing plate, there is minimal heat transfer into the brake caliper, while at the same time the proportion of friction material increases to return to the standard overall thickness of approx. 3.9 - 4.0 mm. This means longer service life, excellent fading stability, even higher dry and wet friction values with extremely low wear.

The standard pad compounds have the longest service life of all Trickstuff organic Brake Pads. Compared to the Trickstuff Power pads, their braking power and temperature resistance is slightly lower.
