SYNTACE rim 29 "C33i carbon | 28 holes
The starting shot for wide and at the same time light rims from Syntace was set with the aluminum rims of the W series. In order to be able to reduce the weight even further with the same stability, Syntace allowed the know-how gained from two decades in the construction of carbon parts to flow into the production of a high-end carbon rim. A patent pending reinforcement of the rim flange makes the C33i rim insensitive to punctures and guarantees a long service life. The large inner width of 33 millimeters also offers 2.5 "wide tires very good grip at low air pressures. Thanks to the very low weight of 480 grams for an Enduro 29" rim, you save a lot of grain with the C33i uphill so you can give everything downhill .
The enlarged nipple seat diameter (spoke hole 5.1 mm) enables the nipples to be embedded at the correct angle and prevents the spokes from buckling when the number of spokes is small and the spoke length is short. The spherical contact area of the ABS lock nipple on the spoke hole guarantees perfect alignment with the spoke and a force-based structure is achieved on highly loaded wheels.
Stronger than the spoke
Much more crack-resistant spoke anchoring in the rim base thanks to the SmoothFit profile. Perfectly angled embedding of the nipples in the rim well. More durable than previous rim bases or mere washers, which add weight to the rim but do not reinforce the edge of the spoke hole.
Note:
This rim has 5.1 mm spoke holes and requires the ABS Lock FG2.3 spoke nipple developed by Syntace to build a wheel!
