The heart of the Syntace Road, Cyclocross and Gravel wheelsets are the Syntace Straight RS hubs (Pat pend. Finest turning and milling art, simple in appearance, but with superior inner values.
A tapered oversize axle provides maximum stiffness with minimal weight. The hub body is equipped with high-performance precision deep groove ball bearings, which have a special grease filling for perfect corrosion protection and outstanding longevity. An additional double sealing disc in front of the ball bearing prevents the penetration of spray water.
The infinitely adjustable adjusting cap allows easy and quick adjustment of the axial hub clearance. Optimized flanges ensure the same spoke angle and spokes of the same length. This reduces uneven tension and allows the use of thinner spokes for weight reduction.
The new pulley freewheel with 20% improved pressure angle (thanks 24er tooth pitch) can shrink the free travel when entering to a minimum and immediately converts any movement in advance.
The Shimano Road freewheel body is equipped with robust steel inserts which effectively prevent "seizure" of cassettes with loose sprocket sets at high torques.
