SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS Upgrade Kit 1x12 | 52 teeth
With the XX1 Eagle AXS Upgrade Kit you can equip your bike with the new Eagle cassettes with 52 teeth. The increased bandwidth compared to the Eagle cassettes with 10-50 teeth not only offers more reserves for extremely steep climbs. Powerful riders can ride a larger chainring thanks to the bandwidth increased to 520% without affecting the bike's climbing ability. As a result, the drive enables a higher top speed and the driver also uses the larger pinions of the cassette more frequently, which have a better efficiency. With the 4 different color variants of the cassette and chain you can add a visual accent to your bike.
Rear derailleur
The Eagle AXS rear derailleur is the brain of the switching group and was specially developed for optimum switching performance with an electric motor. Shifting under load and on rough surfaces now works even more precisely. This gives you even more confidence in the bike under extreme loads and you can concentrate exclusively on the trail. The new overload clutch ensures better protection of the rear derailleur in the event of a fall. It temporarily decouples the rear derailleur under extreme loads so that it can evade the load and the electric motor is protected from damage. However, the rear derailleur immediately jumps back into the engaged gear. As an extremely positive side effect, the rear derailleur suspension and the derailleur hanger are better protected in the event of a fall. In addition, a 10 millimeter shorter rear derailleur arm protects the rear derailleur from contact with the ground. The parallelogram has slid a little further forward for more looping around the chain and thus better shifting performance.
Controller
With the new AXS Rocker Paddle Controller, SRAM offers you the opportunity to use familiar gear lever ergonomics on the modern AXS gearshift. The AXS controller is the control center for the Eagle XX1 and X01 AXS switching groups, but can also be paired with the Reverb AXS or the AXS racing bike components. You can use the SRAM AXS app to customize the functions.
cassette
With the proven SRAM X-Dome technology, the Eagle 12-speed cassette is one of the most durable and stiffest cassettes on the market. SRAM achieves this by milling the cassette from a block. This manufacturing technique also allows the weight to be kept extremely low even with durable steel pinions. Only the 52 final pinion is made of aluminum.
Chain
The SRAM Eagle 12-speed chains have a very large share in the smooth running and smooth running of the X01 Eagle AXS 12-speed group. This is achieved through particularly rounded outer plates and the consistent avoidance of sharp edges. The HollowPin construction enables smooth, precise shifting and weight savings without compromising on strength. The pins are reinforced with a chrome coating. Various coatings offer a high level of protection against corrosion and reduce chain friction. The revised PowerLock chain lock has a longer shelf life and is even easier to use.
