Never before has a crankset with an integrated power meter been so affordable! But the new Rival AXS power meter platform not only impresses with its price, it also offers a particularly clean look on your bike. This is made possible by the complete integration of the measurement technology into the DUB crankshaft. The power of the left leg is measured, from which the total power is calculated using an algorithm. Thanks to the many years of experience of Quarq's power meter specialists, the measurement is very reliable and accurate. The battery life of up to 400 hours should cover operation for a season for many bikers. If you do run out of power, the lithium AAA battery can be replaced independently without any problems. For use in adverse weather conditions, the power meter unit is waterproof to IPX7 standard. In contrast to other power meters, the additional weight of the power meter unit remains pleasingly low at 40 grams.
The Rival DUB 2x crank offers a higher range and smaller gear steps at the same time. What at first sounds absurd is made possible by the new X-range gear ratio variants in combination with the Rival 12-speed cassettes. Thanks to the 10-speed cassette sprocket, smaller chainrings are sufficient to achieve the same maximum gear range as with an 11-speed sprocket. The smaller size combined with the unique one-piece design means that the chainrings are both lighter and stiffer. The small difference of only 13 teeth between the chainrings ensures precise and reliable shifting behavior and leads to fewer compensation shifting operations on the rear derailleur. The Rival is visually impressive with its polished, black aluminium crankarms, which are available in lengths from 160 to 175 millimetres. The crankshaft was developed for the new DUB Road bottom bracket standard to ensure a wide range of applications for the crank. The crankshaft is compatible with all standard bottom bracket housings via the corresponding DUB bottom bracket.
