Modern mountain bikes have pushed the boundaries of what is possible in recent years. Everything has become faster, further and steeper.
But to make sure you come to a safe stop at the end of the trail, SRAM is sending the Maven into the race. Thanks to the monstrously large brake pistons with a diameter of 18 mm, it is about 50% superior to the Code in terms of maximum braking power. This quartet is embedded in a newly designed 4-bolt brake caliper. This has extreme rigidity and excellent heat management, so that the braking power is always constant, defined and reliable, even on the longest descent, from the first meter on the mountain to the valley station.
However, the highest braking power is of little value if it cannot be optimally controlled. This is exactly where the SRAM Stealth brake lever with its Swinglink technology comes into play. The special control of the master piston in the lever ensures an evenly progressive development of the braking force over the entire lever travel. Thanks to the tool-free adjustment of the lever width and contact point, it fits every hand perfectly. Thanks to different pads and a wide range of rotor sizes, you can adapt the Maven perfectly to your area of use.
With its black anodized finish and stainless steel hardware, the brake blends harmoniously into the design of modern bikes. In order to be able to mount everything as cleanly as possible, the sensor on the handlebars is compatible with Sram's proven Matchmaker system. This makes it possible to mount your brake, shift lever or the remote control for your Reverb seatpost on just one clamp.
