SRAM Apex XPLR AXS Wide Disc HRD Flat Mount Flatbar Gravel groupset 1x12
Electronic wireless shifting at a low price: With the Apex AXS, SRAM offers a reliable and easy-to-use 1x12 groupset with a wide range of ratios for a variety of bikes. In addition to the XPLR version with an 11-44 tooth cassette, there is also the Apex Eagle version for cassettes with up to 52 teeth. For the more ambitious biker, there is also the matching Apex Quarq power meter crank arm to choose from. With the proven AXS standard, you can adapt the shifting behavior to your needs and integrate AXS components from other groupsets or additional shifters into your setup. With the S300 disc brakes for flat bars in combination with the GX Eagle, you can also ride the Apex XPLR AXS on your gravel, touring or everyday bike without a drop bar.
CrankWith its 47.5 millimeter chainline, the Apex Wide crank also offers sufficient tire clearance for 2.1 inch wide tires. The Wide crank is even suitable for use on MTBs with the corresponding DUB bottom bracket. The crank is supplied with an aluminium direct mount chainring with 40 teeth. The SRAM X-Sync tooth profile with alternating thick and thin teeth (narrow-wide), proven in the MTB sector, ensures a secure fit of the chain on the chainring. The black aluminum crank arms with white Apex logo are available in lengths from 160 to 175 millimeters. The crankshaft is compatible with all standard bottom bracket housings via the corresponding DUB Wide bottom bracket.
Disc brakesBased on the proven SRAM Guide MTB brake levers, the S300 disc brakes offer high performance and reliability. In combination with the flat-mount brake callipers, they offer you first-class modulation and a consistent pressure point on your flat bar bike. The compact lever body is mounted on the handlebars with the integrated Direct-Link mount. Based on the award-winning HydroHC platform, the two-piece brake caliper is beyond reproach in terms of braking performance and heat management.
Paceline brake discsThe new Paceline brake rotors take up the elegant design of the eTap AXS Road groupsets. They have a redesigned braking surface with equally redesigned ventilation holes for even smoother and lower-vibration braking performance. The rounded edges on the top of the rotor minimize the risk of injury and comply with the guidelines of the UCI cycling world federation. Another advantage is that they make it easier to install the wheel, as the rounded top prevents the brake caliper from jamming.
ControllerThe GX Eagle AXS Controller is the shifting center for the Apex AXS Flatbar groupset. With its rocker switch, the controller offers you a completely new shifting experience. The buttons on the rocker switch can be individually configured via the AXS app.In addition to the two shift points at the usual position, the controller offers a sprint shifter on the front of the handlebars, which can be operated without having to remove a single finger from the grip.
XPLR rear derailleur | 44TEquipped with the electronic wireless eTap shifting logic, the Apex XPLR rear derailleur guarantees intuitive shifting and simple, wireless setup. The integrated spring clutch ensures safe and smooth chain movement on any terrain. The chain guide is supported by derailleur pulleys with SRAM X-Sync tooth profiles. An ANT+ transmitter integrated in the rear derailleur enables communication between your bike computer and the rear derailleur. This allows you to display information on the battery charge status and the current gear in your cockpit. With the integration of AXS technology, the shifting behaviour can be personalized in the associated app. The power required is supplied by the proven SRAM eTap battery (not included), with which you can operate the rear derailleur for over 1000 kilometers or around 60 riding hours. The Apex XPLR rear derailleur is compatible with SRAM 12-speed cassettes with 10-36, 10-44 and 11-44 teeth.
CassetteWith a gear range of 400%, the XPLR XG-1231 cassette covers a wide range of applications. Its progressive sprocket gradation ensures that the jumps between the sprockets are as small as possible in the high speed range and larger in the slower gears. In contrast to the high-quality XPLR cassettes, the XG-1231 dispenses with the 10th sprocket and is therefore compatible with Shimano Road freehub bodies (not SRAM XDR). The cassette can be used with all SRAM XPLR rear derailleurs and SRAM Flattop 12-speed chains.
ChainIntroduced with the SRAM RED and Force eTap AXS groupsets, the Apex chain is also based on the elegant and innovative Flattop design. The shape of the plates allows the chain to be made narrower and lighter. The resulting greater distance between the outer plates and the sprockets leads to smoother chain running and more precise shifting. As a positive side effect, the service life of the chain is also increased. The Apex chain is made of polished steel with a gray finish and is supplied with the matching Powerlock chain lock.
Charger/batteriesThe integrated battery on the rear derailleur has a range of over 1000 kilometers. The charge status can be checked at any time via an LED light and the batteries are recharged within an hour using the charger supplied.
