Shimano's XTR FC-M9125-1 1x 12-speed crank with 174 mm Q-factor and 55 mm chain line stands for maximum drive efficiency with low weight. With this crank, Shimano has pushed the 1-speed evolution properly.
With the M9125-1 XTR crank, Shimano is taking a big step forward in several aspects. Probably the most striking innovation: The M9125-1 is designed for direct mount chainrings. Thanks to the special DCE + Narrow Wide Profile of the teeth and the Hyperglide + chain design, the chain is reliably prevented from jumping off. The chain line of 55 millimeters is suitable for modern BOOST rear structures with large tire clearance. Matching direct mount chainrings, SM-CRM-95, with 32 or 34 teeth are available.
When assembling the crank, Shimano continues to rely on the proven Hollowtech-2 technology with a 24 millimeter crankshaft. By optimizing the design of the current generation, the cold-forged aluminum crank, further weight could be saved and the rigidity increased at the same time.
