Shimano's 9X XT cassette features high switching performance, low weight and high wear resistance. The gear changes are extremely precise so that the switching pauses are very short. An intelligent material mix of aluminum and steel increases the life, but at the same time reduces the weight of the cassette. The basic body is designed as a weight-saving aluminum spider.
