Description
SHIMANO GRX 820 complete groupset 1x12 | Crank 175 mm Cassette 11-34
With the GRX, Shimano brought the first gravel-specific shifting group onto the market. Since then, the range of uses and the range of gravel bikes has expanded significantly. Shimano takes this development into account by also expanding the range of the GRX group. With 12 sprockets on the rear wheel and the option to choose between a 1-speed and 2-speed setup, you can adapt your drive even better to your needs. You can get the GRX 820 complete group here at R2-Bike.com at an absolutely top price. Simply buy, install and drive off.
Shift-|brake lever SHIMANO GRX BL-RX820 / ST-RX820 + brake caliper BR-RX820 Flat Mount
The GRX shift-brake levers have a grip geometry and surface texture specially optimized for Gravel use. The upper hump has been raised so that you cannot slip forward on rough ground. A thumb cut-out ensures a firm grip in difficult terrain at all times. And so that your hands don't slide back and forth when driving in the rain, a non-slip material was chosen, which also has good damping properties and thus increases comfort. As usual, the dual-control lever of the GRX series offers outstanding ergonomics. The crisp switching operations are short, precise and can be carried out with little finger strength. This means you never lose control of your bike, even in hectic situations. The brake lever was also designed in such a way that it can be stopped quickly at any time from any gripping position. It is slightly bent inwards and the axis of the lever has been moved up. This improves ergonomics and at the same time reduces the manual effort required. The Servowave Action technology allows you a short brake lever travel until the pads are in contact with the brake disc. After the brake pad has come into contact, the power transmission factor increases quickly, so that a large part of the lever travel is still available for targeted braking force dosing. In addition, the reach of the brake lever can be individually adjusted so that bikers with smaller hands can also ride safely. The flat-mount brake caliper improves braking performance and controllability in all conditions. Maintenance work, such as venting or changing the pads, can also be carried out easily. The L03A brake pads with cooling fins help to keep the brake temperatures low, especially on long downhill runs.
Brake Disc SHIMANO Deore XT Center Lock RT-MT800 | 160mm + 160mm
With the Ice-Tech cooling technology, the RT-MT800 brake disc ensures constant braking performance even on longer descents. The brake disc is characterized by a three-layer sandwich construction. The stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core offer significantly improved heat dissipation. This allows the temperature to be reduced by around 100 °C. In addition, the FREEZA aluminum cooling fins reduce the system temperature by around a further 50 °C thanks to their increased surface area. Due to the higher heat dissipation, smaller brake discs than usual can be installed. In addition, the service life of the brake pad is significantly extended. As is typical for Shimano, the discs are suitable for the center lock mount, which enables quick and easy installation, offers a secure hold and ensures a clean and compact look. A lighter aluminum carrier saves a few grams of weight compared to the previous version.
Crank SHIMANO GRX FC-RX820-2 | 2x12-speed | 48/31 teeth | Q factor 151 mm | Crank arm length 175 mm
The FC-RX820 crank comes with a typical Gravel gradation. With the large 48-tooth blade, you can make decent speed on the flat, but with the small 31 tooth you can also easily climb longer climbs. The outwardly shifted chain line created space for wider tires in the frame. Nevertheless, the Q-factor has remained pleasantly narrow at 151 mm. The typically excellent Shimano workmanship and aerodynamically shaped elements on the outer chainring make the crankset a long-term and reliable companion on your tours.
Front derailleur SHIMANO GRX FD-RX820 | 2x12 speed
The GRX FD-RX820 front derailleur has been designed to accommodate the wider tires on gravel bikes. Compared to Shimano Road derailleurs, the chain line has been moved outwards by 2.5 mm and is 46 mm. Constructed for Shimano 12-speed chains and with its chainring capacity of 17 teeth, the front derailleur harmonises perfectly with the GRX FC820-2 crank with 48-31 teeth. Its Toggle Link construction allows for even more cable routing options and thus a broader frame compatibility. In order to be able to adjust it optimally, it has its own adjustment screw, on which the tension of the Bowden cable can be adjusted.
Rear derailleur SHIMANO GRX RD-RX820 Shadow+ | 2x12 speed
The RX820 rear derailleur was specially developed for the GRX 2x12 drive with cassettes with 11-34 or 11-36 teeth for Shimano Road freewheel bodies. With this drive you have a very wide range and at the same time a very finely graded translation on board. Thanks to the built-in Shadow RD+ chain stabilizer, the chain stays securely on the chainring even on the roughest gravel paths. As usual from Shimano, shifting takes place with little finger force, quickly and precisely. Even under adverse conditions, the chain changes reliably from one sprocket to the other. In order to be able to optimally adjust the rear derailleur, it has its own adjustment screw, which can be used to adjust the tension of the Bowden cable. Thanks to the compact Shadow design, the rear derailleur sits closer to the frame. This slim, low-profile design not only looks good, but also protects the rear derailleur from damage or branches getting in the way in the event of a fall.
Cassette SHIMANO CS-HG710 12-speed | 11-34 teeth
The Shimano Hyperglide cassettes have set new standards in off-road use with their smooth upshifting and downshifting across the entire range of gear ratios. Even with the greatest effort on climbs or when sprinting to the finish line, you can now switch gears without hesitation. Longer teeth make this possible. Despite the new construction and the additional 12th sprocket, the cassette is also compatible with 11-/12-speed Shimano Road freewheel bodies.
Chain SHIMANO Deore XT | Ultegra CN-M8100 12-speed | 126 links with chain lock
The CN-M8100 chain is specially designed for the M8100 chainrings and cassettes. The chain harmonises perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) Narrow-Wide tooth profiles of the new XT chainrings thanks to milling on the inside of the link plates. The design results in a tighter fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibrations are avoided and the smoother running of the chain is not only noticeable when pedalling, but is also expressed acoustically by a 4 dB quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the service life of the chain could be kept at the level of the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.
