The next generation of the Schwalbe Aerothan tube with a robust aluminum shaft for increased stability and optimum performance. The tube combines low weight, increased puncture resistance and actively supports the circular economy. It is just as resistant to snakebites as it is to sidewall damage - thanks to the extreme robustness of the material. The Aerothan inner tube is made of TPU material from BASF, which is produced by chemical recycling (ChemCycling) from pyrolysis oil - a by-product of Schwalbe tire recycling. This saves fossil raw materials and supports the circular economy.

Aerothan is a material that completely redefines the bicycle inner tube: extremely light, highly puncture-resistant and designed for minimum rolling resistance. The revolutionary Aerothan tube achieves unprecedented top values in terms of elasticity, weight and puncture resistance. Specially designed for road bikes, MTBs and trekking bikes.
Like all Schwalbe products, the new inner tube was not only developed in the laboratory, but was also perfected through thousands of test rides. Professional cyclists, triathletes, World Cup mountain bikers and cyclists from around the world provided valuable feedback for the developers. Among them was Patrick Lange, Ironman Hawaii World Champion 2017 and 2018, who concluded: "Aerothan is my first choice. On the one hand, because you can save 100 grams per set of tires compared to conventional tubes. Secondly, I love the lower rolling resistance: the difference is particularly noticeable when accelerating."
