DT Swiss 350 Straightpull hubs
DT Swiss hubs stand for simple construction and maximum reliability. Thanks to the use of elaborate seals and bearing sizes adapted to the loads, the hubs do not require any adjustment of the bearing play. This means that the rider does not have to worry about the function of the hubs for years! Should a service be necessary after tens of thousands of kilometers, the hubs can be disassembled and serviced within a few minutes without special tools thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.
Thanks to their simple but well thought-out design, the current 350 hubs are significantly lighter than the previous versions. The proven ratchet freehub system of the DT-Swiss 240 hubs makes the hubs an extremely reliable companion. Compared to pawl systems, the ratchet freehub offers a more even power transmission, which significantly reduces wear. With 36 teeth, the hub reacts very directly to acceleration. The new shape of the end caps makes disassembly even easier, making it even easier to convert to other axle standards.
Rims LIGHT BICYCLE 28" Falcon Pro Turbo Disc 65 mm
With their extravagant design, the Light Bicycle Falcon Pro Turbo rims are not just a visual highlight. Thanks to their modern rim profile, they are also state-of-the-art in technical terms and can play to their strengths on a wide range of wheel types. With an inner width of 25 mm and an outer width of 35 mm, they not only perfectly integrate 28 to 32 mm wide road bike tires aerodynamically into the rim profile, they also provide excellent support for all-road and gravel tires up to a width of 50 millimeters at low air pressures. In addition to the rim height of 65 millimeters, the tapered turbo rim profile helps to reduce drag and improve crosswind stability at the same time. The shape also helps to improve the stiffness of the rims, which is noticeable, among other things, in a more direct power transmission in the assembled wheel. The tubeless inner profile with rim hooks ensures a secure fit of the tire on the rims.
Thanks to the BlackTec manufacturing process, the Falcon Pro rims come out of the autoclave as a finished product and require no post-processing. This not only makes the manufacturing process more environmentally friendly than conventional methods, the rim surface is also significantly harder and therefore more resistant to mechanical stresses when driving.
Extra-thin and lightweight carbon prepregs are used in the production of Falcon Pro rims. This makes it possible to stack more carbon layers in critical areas to achieve greater stability without weight disadvantages and to keep the overall weight of the rims extremely low.

Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to offer a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage as long as it is not caused by force.
