Road cyclists are looking for the best compromise between weight, aerodynamics and stiffness. Hubs
It has long been known that the Italians around Extralite create small CNC works of art. The now one-piece hub body is CNC-milled from high-strength 7075TX aluminum at great expense. It rotates around a 15 mm front and 17 mm rear aluminum axle with double-sealed deep groove ball bearings. The axial play can be finely adjusted using the micro-tuner. The improved flange geometry ensures a more optimal spoke angle and can now be used with higher spoke tensions. Another new feature is the use of titanium gearing with 32 teeth, which is controlled by two pawls in the hub body.
The main advantages of the Straightpull hubs are, in addition to the more modern design, contactless spokes that do not cause any unpleasant noises and spoke heads that cannot work their way into the spoke flange. However, if desired, the straightpull hubs can also be cross-spoked.
Rims
Alchemist Race Zirconium carbon rims are manufactured in Italy. Toray UD carbon fibers are used as the starting material. These are held in shape by a break-resistant nanopolymer synthetic resin, which is also used in Formula 1 cockpits, resulting in a durable carbon rim with increased impact resistance. Technical details such as reinforced spoke holes, hybrid rim flanges and an asymmetrical profile leave no potential untapped. The low weight, coupled with stiffness, offers unsurpassed reactivity and precision at high speeds and changes of direction.

Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to offer a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage as long as it is not caused by force.

You will receive a universal wheel bag for all common sizes.
You will receive a replacement spoke with nipple in all required spoke lengths so that you can repair the wheel quickly after an accident.
You will receive a free initial inspection of the wheel, where the resulting work is completely free of charge. Only shipping costs are incurred.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
