Hubs
DT Swiss hubs stand for the simplest construction and highest reliability. Thanks to the use of complex seals and bearing sizes adapted to the loads, the hubs do not require adjusting the bearing play. This means the driver doesn't have to worry about the function of the hubs for years to come! If service is necessary after tens of thousands of kilometers, the hubs can be dismantled and serviced within a few minutes without special tools thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.
Thanks to their simple but well thought-out design, the current 350 hubs have become significantly lighter compared to the previous versions. The Ratchet freewheel system proven by the DT-Swiss 240 hubs makes the hubs an extremely reliable companion. Compared to pawl systems, the built-in toothed disc freewheel offers a more extensive power transmission, which significantly reduces wear. With 36 teeth, the hub reacts very directly to acceleration. The new shape of the end caps makes disassembly even easier, so that converting to other axle type is even easier.
rims
Building on the proven aluminum rims of the W series for mountain bikes, Syntace also developed rims for the growing category of gravel bikes and racing bikes with disc brakes. Thanks to the generous internal width, it offers 25 - 40 millimeter wide tires very good support, even at very low air pressures. The special inner profile of the rim ensures easy tubeless installation without a compressor. The hooks on the rim flanges guarantee a secure fit of tubeless tires even in extreme situations. In contrast to cheaper plug-in rims, the rim joint of Syntace rims is welded. This design makes the rim stiffer and leads to better concentricity in the spoked wheel. Due to the low gram, the rotating masses remain very low, which has a positive effect on acceleration.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important to ensure that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to offer a lifetime guarantee against broken spokes, as long as they are not caused by violence.

You get a universal wheel bag for all common sizes.
You will receive a replacement spoke with a nipple in all the required spoke lengths so that you can repair the wheel at short notice after an accident.
You will receive a free initial inspection of the wheel, where the resulting work is completely free of charge. Only shipping costs are charged.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We offer a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
