Road cyclists and gravel riders are always looking for the best compromise between weight, aerodynamics and stiffness. The combination of Light Bicycle Carbon rims and the indestructible DT Swiss hubs should therefore always be on the shortlist. The balanced component mix guarantees you high reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the new DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties have been achieved thanks to Ratchet EXP technology. This not only means that the hubs have fewer components and therefore lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing to be positioned much further out on the drive side. The greater distance between the bearings results in greater hub rigidity, lower bearing loads and therefore greater durability. The stiffness on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Drive and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. One-sided load peaks are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable toothed pulley freehub system with its large contact surface and 36 engagement points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission.
Rims
Light Bicycle were ahead of their time with the Falcon Pro WG rims. While many manufacturers only launched gravel wheels with an inner width of 30 millimetres or more in 2024, the Chinese have had their high wide gravel rims in their range since the beginning of 2023. The advantages are obvious. Wide tires are integrated into the rim profile in a streamlined manner, making the system more aerodynamic and less susceptible to crosswinds. The large inner width also gives the tires more volume, which has a positive effect on the damping properties and provides more reserves against punctures. In addition, the tire remains stable on the rim even at extremely low air pressures and high lean angles. The hybrid hook profile on the rim flange also ensures a secure tire fit.
Despite the extreme dimensions, the WG rims in the Flyweight version weigh less than 400 grams thanks to a complex manufacturing process and are nevertheless more resistant to mechanical loads when riding.

Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to give the first owner a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage, as long as it was not caused by force.

You will receive a spare spoke with nipple in all required spoke lengths so that you can repair the wheel quickly after an accident.
Within 2 years of purchase, you will receive a free initial inspection of the wheel, during which the resulting work is completely free of charge. Only shipping costs are incurred.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged within 2 years of purchase due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
