The SRM X-Power Direct pedal is the next step towards optimal cycling efficiency. Its innovative pedal and cleat design reduces the overall height and increases the contact area between shoe and pedal, resulting in power savings and improved control of the bike. This is achieved by breaking with the tradition of conventional clipless pedals. The pedal has been lengthened and the mounting bolts repositioned to make room for the axle. In addition, only 2 instead of 3 screws are required. As a result, the cleat above the axle is only 1 mm thin - exactly where it matters.
These cleats fix your feet on the pedal without any freedom of movement and should be adjusted carefully to avoid knee problems.
