The Predator 01TT CPC is undisputedly one of the most innovative time trial and triathlon saddles on the market. Its extravagant design is the result of an ambitious development process in close cooperation with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, which lasted 18 months.
Weighing just 145 grams, the Predator 01TT is the lightest saddle in its class and sets new standards in terms of performance, comfort and aerodynamics.
In order to optimize the aerodynamics down to the last detail, its shape was first developed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations and then refined in the wind tunnel. The interaction between saddle, bike and rider was specifically analyzed. The smooth side wings of the saddle base conceal the saddle frame and seat post clamp and protect them from the airflow. The distinctive, raised rear profile specifically deflects the turbulence coming from the rider's back and thus noticeably reduces air resistance. A real highlight is the revolutionary carbon frame, which is integrated directly into the saddle base. In contrast to conventional round or oval stays, it has a wide, flat surface that optimizes power transmission and at the same time improves the feel and control of the bike. It creates a direct connection between the rider and the seatpost so that even the smallest feedback from the frame can be felt. The Predator 01TT also has a modular design. The seat plate and base can be removed separately, making it easier to repair, replace and recycle individual components at the end of their service life.
With its ergonomic V-shape, the saddle promotes maximum pelvic rotation and allows you to adopt an aggressive, aerodynamic position for longer periods of time. The 170 millimeter long seat is equipped with additional EVA padding and offers optimum support. The wide PAS channel in the middle relieves sensitive tissue areas across the entire contact surface. The wide saddle nose creates a generous contact surface that allows full power to be transmitted even in the foremost sitting position.
CPC technology
The characteristic nanostructure of the CPC technology is clearly visible on the saddle surface of the Predator 01TT. This patented system, which has its origins in aviation, the military and Formula 1, delivers outstanding vibration damping, better support and stability in the riding position in cycling. The unique, hollow-conical 3D polymer structure of CPC reduces muscle fatigue, improves air circulation and lowers the skin temperature in the contact area. At the same time, CPC specifically protects muscles, tendons and sensitive soft tissue from road shocks.
V-Shape
The V-shape eliminates pressure in the front perineal area and offers more support in the rear.
PAS system
An ergonomic channel in the saddle shell that minimizes stress peaks in the sensitive pelvis and crotch area. This also ideally counteracts feelings of numbness caused by pressure or friction.
