New name, same passion: the still young Berg brand becomes PORTE. The founders started the brand with a simple mission. They wanted to develop the best possible lightweight products for ambitious MTB marathon and cross-country riders at an affordable price. In order to be equipped for tough racing conditions, no compromises were made in terms of durability when developing the PORTE components. Behind the brand is a small team of dedicated mountain bikers, engineers and bike mechanics from Belgium.
The Vasa carbon seatpost is a real masterpiece. Not only is its weight of just 105 grams (400 mm) impressive, the seatpost also looks great with its matt UD carbon finish. As is usual with yoke clamps, the saddle angle can be adjusted steplessly and with little effort using 2 titanium hexagon socket head bolts. Half tons between the bolts and the clamping head ensure perfect alignment of the yokes and reduce stress peaks on the saddle rails and the clamping head. The attention to detail is evident in the jokes, which are also made of carbon and have glued-in metal threads.
In order to guarantee the safety of their components, all PORTE components have undergone extensive tests in accordance with ISO standards in Germany in addition to intensive test rides. In order to guarantee the high quality standards in the long term, the tests are repeated for different product batches.
In addition to the 2-year warranty, PORTE offers a 3-year crash replacement with a 40% discount on all components. For a smaller environmental footprint, all PORTE components are supplied in 100% recyclable packaging.
