The goal when developing the Oakley Jawbreaker was to create the ultimate sports glasses. All important aspects should be reconciled: maximum field of vision, eye protection, ventilation of the glasses and adjustability. In order to achieve these goals, the glasses were developed and tested from the start with Mark Cavendish, one of the most well-known cyclists of our time. Eye tracking tests brought new insights into the optimal lens and frame shape to expand the athlete's field of vision. Since the upper area of the lens is used more, especially in cycling, due to the seating position, adjustments were made here, which were also applied to the Radar EV. Ventilation openings have been worked into the glass at both the top and bottom edge of the glass to optimize the flow of air behind the glass and to minimize fogging of the glass. The temples are adjustable and offer 3 positions for optimal adjustment to head and helmet shape.
Of course, a convenient way of changing lenses quickly and easily was also developed for these glasses. Fold the nose pads up - unhook the metal clip - move the nose pads back into place - move the lower frame arch down - remove the lens - done.
The Jawbreaker brings the Oakley spirit of the first eyewear models into modern times and combines it with the latest technology, making them the perfect glasses for athletes in a wide range of sports.
Oakley Switchclock™
The new technology enables a quick and easy replacement of the lenses. The practical quick-release system helps (the upper part of the frame can be pivoted) to be able to remove and replace the lenses within a few seconds.
O Matter® frame material
This light and comfortable, but at the same time extremely durable frame material is characterized in particular by its optimal protection and flexible fit.
Unobtainium®
Temple ends that are coated with this material have a stronger hold of the glasses with increased perspiration. Thus, the glasses sit securely and securely at all times.
High Definition Optics® (HDO®)
Thanks to the patented innovative High Definition Optic technology, a unique optical accuracy and quality is achieved. A wide range of optional lens colors enables reliable glare reduction, better color perception, stronger contrast and optimized depth perception. The optionally available Oakley polarized lenses block annoying glare without the side effects that are so annoying with ordinary polarized lenses such as cloudiness and distortions.
Prizm Road Jade
