Whether on the test bench, the legendary spring classics or on a long tour, Newmen's professional wheels of the Streem series perform at the highest level in every use. Their development began back in 2020 with the aim of finding the best compromise between good aerodynamics, low weight, stability and comfort. And the results are definitely impressive. Technically and visually, the wheels show all the know-how and attention to detail of the Newmen engineers. In addition, several victories in professional races were already achieved during the test phase.
Do you like to set the pace on the flat or seek your fortune as a soloist? Then the S.66, where S stands for Sprint, is the ideal rear wheel for you. The 66 mm high rim flank offers unprecedented aerodynamics and, thanks to its special shape, reliably keeps you on track even in strong crosswinds. It finds a suitable partner in the S.60 front wheel.
Streem carbon rim
The Newmen carbon rim is made exclusively from the highest quality UD carbon fibers. Its shape achieves excellent values in all wind conditions and the profile remains neutral even in crosswinds. Thanks to the enormous inner width of 22 mm, it has been aerodynamically optimized for tires with a width of 28 and 30 mm. This allows the air pressure to be lowered and more grip and comfort to be generated. Newmen has opted for a hook profile, which offers both tubeless tires and classic clincher tires with inner tubes a secure hold at all times. In order to keep the high-quality UD carbon look visible and save weight, only a wafer-thin layer of clear lacquer is applied after the production process.
Fade R CS hub
Newmen's own Fade R CS hubs take center stage and are equipped with high-quality, double-sealed industrial bearings for durability under all conditions. In contrast to the tried and tested FADE Road hubs, this version has been reinforced on the inside. The 36-toothed pawl freehub ensures instantaneous acceleration. In addition, the reduced noise technology ensures a pleasant freewheel sound. This means that any forces that occur can be better compensated and it is even approved for use on e-road bikes. Externally, the slim design has been retained, which prevents air turbulence and improves aerodynamics. The flanges have been modified, which can now accommodate the VONOA carbon spokes and are visually eye-catching.Furthermore, Newmen uses a special grease which has a 25% higher water absorption capacity and a very high bleeding temperature and protects the bearings from premature wear and corrosion.
The 18-hole front hub is a new development especially for road wheels with VONOA carbon spokes.
VONOA Aerowide carbon spokes
The highlight of this front wheel is definitely the spokes. These are not made of steel as usual, but of carbon fibers and are approx. 40 % lighter per piece. Together with the lightweight rims, they ensure incredible acceleration values and the best uphill performance. In addition, their aerodynamic shape offers little resistance to the wind, allowing you to save valuable energy. They are also extremely tear-resistant, which means that the wheel can be built very stably and durably even with just 18 spokes.
Streem valve
The world's first internal (tubeless) valve ensures even better aerodynamics and a clean look. To inflate and deflate, simply screw on the supplied valve extension by hand. Thanks to the adapters supplied, the hybrid system can also be used with a conventional valve.
