Newmen's Evolution SL series is exactly the right wheel for all dedicated amateur racing cyclists. It impresses with first-class technical features and also has an excellent price-performance ratio. During development, CFD simulations and wind tunnel tests were even used, which is otherwise only reserved for expensive wheels. This means that even riders with a rather small budget can enjoy high-end features.
The SL R.35 is a real all-rounder. Whether on flat stretches, hilly terrain or even longer climbs, it will not disappoint you and will show off its advantages.
Evolution SL aluminum rim
Newmen's many years of experience in wheel construction can already be seen in the rim. Like all Evolution SL components, it is made of a high-strength aluminum alloy and impresses with its first-class mechanical properties and low weight. 22 mm inner width is an enormous value for this area of use and, in combination with wide tires, allows you to ride with low air pressure, which is reflected in better grip and more comfort.The flared and reinforced rim flanges are resistant to damage from punctures and give the tire a rounder shape and even better cornering.
Fade R SJ hub
Newmen's own Fade R SJ hubs take center stage and are equipped with high-quality, double-sealed industrial bearings for durability under all conditions. In contrast to the tried and tested FADE Road hubs, this version has been reinforced on the inside. This means that any forces that occur can be better compensated and it is even approved for use on e-road bikes. The combination of J-bend and straight-pull spoking is striking. This has made it possible to reduce the number of spokes while maintaining the same stiffness. This saves weight and improves aerodynamics. The 36-toothed pawl freewheel ensures deceleration-free acceleration. In addition, the reduced noise technology ensures a pleasant freewheel sound. Furthermore, Newmen uses a special grease which has a 25% higher water absorption capacity and a very high bleeding temperature and protects the bearings from premature wear and corrosion.
Sapim Race spokes
By far the most popular spoke in the Sapim range is the indestructible Race. Despite its still low weight, it can be used to build the most stable wheels. The elastic middle section easily copes with high load peaks. In addition, the elimination of the highly stressed spoke bend eliminates a potential breaking point and thus further minimizes the susceptibility to punctures. A real all-rounder with which you can set off on any adventure.
