MICHE wheelset 28" Deva RD 62 | Chrome
The Deva RD wheels are the result of three decades of development expertise and analysis of the best Miche wheels. They are the first wheels in the Miche range to be developed with Vonoa carbon spokes. The development of the Deva RD followed Miche's in-house formula, an engineering protocol that combines instrumented measurements, high-resolution CFD simulations and targeted wind tunnel testing to validate every design decision. This approach focused on aerodynamics and material behavior with a clear goal: to develop the fastest and lightest Miche wheel to date.
62 millimeter hooked carbon rims
The carbon structure made of T700, T800 and T1000 fibers with a matt UD finish and a 23 mm wide, tubeless-ready inner rim width ensures a smooth, stable and comfortable ride, while the hooked construction guarantees maximum safety. The 62 millimeter high rim profile is specifically designed to combine control, smoothness and aerodynamic efficiency. A wider front profile reduces drag, while the slimmer rear profile offers the optimum balance between weight and aerodynamics, improving performance in all conditions.
Vonoa carbon spokes
For the first time, Miche uses Vonoa carbon spokes to set new standards in terms of weight and stiffness. The aerodynamic geometry of the spokes with a cross-section of 4×1 millimetres fits seamlessly into the rim. Recessed spoke nipples reduce additional turbulence and optimize the airflow.
2:1 lacing
The spoke arrangement of 14+7 at the front and rear and the reduction in the number of spokes from 24 to 21 create an ideal balance of weight, responsiveness, control and steering precision. This is made possible by the exceptional stiffness of the carbon spokes. The result: lower rotating mass, greater stability under lateral loads and a more direct ride feel.
Deva RD hubs
The Deva RD hubs are manufactured from 7075 T6 aluminum on high-precision CNC machines. Their design is specially designed for the integration of carbon spokes and ensures high rigidity and aerodynamic continuity. At the front wheel, a special flange geometry with an increased splay angle ensures greater lateral stiffness and more precise steering. At the rear wheel, the pawl freewheel with 30 engagement points ensures fast and reliable power transmission. The Aeroblade technology from Miche, manufactured using a 3D
printing process made from carbon-filled resin, stabilizes the spoke alignment and protects the system from contamination. Micrometric adjustment enables precise fine adjustment of the preload and ensures optimum smoothness under all conditions.
CeramicSpeed ball bearings
In cooperation with CeramicSpeed, Miche relies on double-sealed ceramic bearings. All factors influencing rolling resistance have been optimized in the Danish bearings, from the seals, balls and raceways to the manufacturing quality, tolerances and lubricant properties.
Outstanding aerodynamics
The Deva RD was developed with an uncompromising goal: To put aerodynamics at the center of every design decision. Every surface, every proportion and every technical solution has been designed to minimize overall aerodynamic drag. CFD analyses allowed the evaluation of airflow, stability and efficiency under realistic conditions. The results were then confirmed in the GST wind tunnel and further refined to ensure optimal profiles and stable aerodynamic performance at different angles of attack.
