The Trenta helmet was developed on the occasion of the company's 30th anniversary. MET wanted to build a helmet for pro riders that would provide a competitive edge for the best in the sport. The name is Italian, of course, and means 30. Optimized for use in the peloton, the MET Trenta's tubular tail and internal ventilation ducts ensure 7% less drag over a traditional construction for best performance when riding in a group. The NACA ventilation opening and the rear deflectors ensure that the air flow is cleverly guided inside the helmet and cool your head efficiently without slowing you down, especially since only 30% of the helmet rests on your head, which means optimum temperature control at the highest level. Now also available as a version with the brain protection system MIPS-C2®. The helmet thus floats on the head and can thus effectively reduce the rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall.
MIPS-C2® technology
The MIPS-C2® technology separates the shell and the liner with a thin layer of plastic called the Low Friction Layer (LFL). Thanks to this LFL, which is attached with four rubber elastomers, the helmet floats on the head and effectively diverts the rotational forces that occur in the event of a fall from the head.
