MAXXIS tire Reaver 28 | 700 x 40C Dual Compound TR EXO

The Maxxis Reaver is faster, lighter and even more durable than the popular Rambler. In mixed conditions or deeper gravel, the Rambler is more versatile, but when speed is a priority, the new Reaver is the better choice. The Reaver's low-profile tread design uses mini-diamond lugs to minimize rolling resistance and increase traction on dusty or loose surfaces. Paddle-shaped cross lugs provide additional grip during hard braking maneuvers. The shoulder studs placed close together ensure consistent lateral support. The slots in the cleats allow for flexible adaptation to the terrain and thus increase traction.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tires with tube tubes have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube , the risk of a breakdown is reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealant than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, like a real UST tube . This means that the tube can be installed successfully on all rims with standard dimensions the first time the tube is inflated and with little liquid. Even normal MAXXIS MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very dense.
However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strictly advise against using sealing milk containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.

Dual Compound
Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. We plan the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
