Manitou refreshes its cross-country fork. The significant reduction in weight was one of the major tasks of the developers, but the stiffness was also increased at the same time as the jump to 34 mm stanchions and adapted to the requirements, especially in the downhill-heavy down-country segment. In the Cross-Country World Cup, riders like Savilia Blunk and the Decathlon Rockrider Ford Racing Team were able to familiarize themselves with the prototype in the 2023 season and test it extensively in racing and take off in the 2024 season. With the sensitive Dorado air spring, which has features of the downhill fork of the same name, and the broadband VVT Pro-X damping, nothing stands in the way of riding fun!

Suspension travel
With the help of suspension travel spacers, the suspension travel can be adjusted internally in 10 mm increments in the range of 80 - 120 mm and thus perfectly adapted to the geometry of your mountain bike.

34 mm Hyperlite Chassis
The change from 32 to 34 mm stanchion diameter increases stiffness and creates even safer handling, whether during steering or braking maneuvers. However, the weight has still been reduced because the elegant silver polished fork crown has been heavily milled out and the casting has been made thinner thanks to the high-quality 7000 aluminum alloy. Also nice: the integrated attachment for a fender, which is also included in the scope of delivery.

Dorado Air suspension system
Manitou's unique equalizing valve inside the fork ensures a perfectly balanced pressure ratio in the positive and negative air chambers, which are filled simultaneously during inflation. This gives the spring rate a consistent feel over the entire spring travel.

Trail Side Relief (TSR)
There are two small holes on the back of the dip tubes, which are actually only used on suspension forks with significantly more travel. Briefly explained, these allow compressed air to escape from the casting. This is because when the fork compresses, the air in the lower areas of the lower tubes is compressed at the same time. The further the fork compresses, the more the pressure increases. This effect means that the fork responds harder and may not be able to use the full suspension travel.

IVA XC (incremental volume adjustment)
This system adjusts the volume in the positive air chamber with the help of self-supporting spacers. This allows you to adapt the spring characteristic to your needs and increase the end progression.

VVT Pro-X damping
Manitou also relies on three different compression modes - Lock, Trail, Open. Depending on the lever position, the oil flows through the high-speed or low-speed channels. But even when closed, hard impacts are damped. If the system is open, the low-speed compression stage is also adjusted via the red rotary knob. The rebound (or rebound stage) is adjusted very sensitively with 18 clicks on the lower blue wheel. The damping system is designed as a cartridge, which means that the amount of oil can be reduced, thus saving some weight.

Hexloc-SL-R thru axle
At 25g, this is the lightest thru-axle that Manitou has ever brought onto the market. Unlike the competition, a grub screw in the dropout on the left side pulls the thru axle into the fork. In addition, the hexagonal design prevents movement at the axle and thus increases torsional stiffness and steering precision.
