If you ask the community for the best-known upside-down suspension fork, one name will come up quite clearly: "DORADO". This downhill fork won many podium finishes back in the early 2000s.
A lot has changed since then, of course, but it has always remained true to the upside-down principle.
The Dorado Comp has the same 37 mm chassis as the Expert, but with a "set it and forget it" vibe. The coil spring ensures a smooth, consistent ride - 100% fun and 0% problems. On the damping side, Manitous ABS+ shock offers a wide adjustment range, high reliability and easy maintenance. Manitous Dorado Comp is built for riders who just want to ride and not worry about the small stuff.
37 MM CHASSIS
A huge increase in stiffness compared to the 36 mm chassis of the previous version.
UPSIDE DOWN DESIGN
Provides an incredibly sensitive response and smooth ride feel. Constant lubrication of the bushings and seals improves function and reduces wear.
STEEL SPRING
Maximum responsiveness for both small and large bumps. The easy adjustability makes the fork your perfect companion. This fork is fitted with a "Medium" spring (Blue Stripe) for body weights between 68-79 kg.
ABS+ SHOCK ABSORBER
The Absolute Plus (ABS+) is known for its incredible reliability and easy tuning. The damper is based on a shim stack and has an external, gradual low-speed pressure adjustment. The piston and shim stack are customizable for a wide range of riding styles.
ONE FOR ALL
The fork is suitable for 27.5" and 29" wheels. Markings on the fork legs help you to find the correct clamping point for the fork crown. The offset can be adjusted with different triple clamps. 47 mm offset is optimized for 27.5" wheels, 57 mm offset for 29". When using the flat crown (not included) with 29" wheels, the maximum usable head tube length including headset is reduced to 121 mm.
TSR BLEED SCREWS
Thanks to the TSR screws, you can release excess pressure from your fork legs. This gives you consistent performance from sunrise to sunset.
FENDER
The supplied Dorado fender provides the necessary protection and can be screwed directly into the fork crown with four screws or fixed with cable ties as required.
NOTE: Other spring stiffnesses are optionally available: X-Soft (up to 57 kg), Soft (57-68 kg), Firm, (79-91 kg), X-Firm (91-102 kg), XX-Firm (> 102 kg). Please contact our customer support.
