The Magura Clara Pro is also celebrating its rebirth as a heavy-duty brake. Brakes that are designed to bring heavy-duty bikes to a standstill must be low-maintenance and powerful. This is exactly what the Clara Pro does, because when you are transporting the most valuable thing, your children, the safety and reliability of your brake is paramount. Cargo bikes, S-pedelecs or SUV bikes are safely and reliably decelerated and brought to a standstill up to 250 kg. In combination with the Bosch ABS system and the Magura brake light switch (optionally in conjunction with the CMe lever), you increase safety to a maximum, as the various weather conditions, times of day and seasons no longer allow any "buts".
Easy-Link cable connection encoder unit
Even the control unit is a sign of power. It provides a direct braking feel and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of modulation.
Installation is also extremely simple. The clamp can be attached without removing the grips.
Another innovative solution is the EASY-LINK connection. It allows the brake line to be quickly detached without the need for special tools. Simply remove the cover cap, pull out the safety pin and the cable can be removed. A clever idea, especially for today's frames with internally routed cables.
4-piston brake calliper
The solid brake calliper, forged from high-quality aluminum, transfers the concentrated braking force to the disc. Four pistons with a diameter of 19 mm do the work, while the one-piece design increases rigidity and ensures a very sensitive response.
The Magura Clara PRO forms the ideal pair with the optionally available Magura MDR-S 2.5 brake rotors. Their 2.5 mm thick friction ring guarantees lasting stability even on long downhill rides. In addition, a diameter of 203 mm is completely sufficient for this thickness. Of course, conventional brake disks can also be used without any problems.
The MDP 13 Brake Pads were installed for the best deceleration. They have approx. 40 % more material compared to the MT7 and ensure quiet and powerful braking as well as extremely low wear. What's more, the special compound means there is no need to brake for a long time.
Because you naturally want to ride rather than screw, the individual components of the Magura Clara PRO are specially designed for durability. Not only do the robust Brake Pads and rotors extend the maintenance intervals, but the rather large reservoir also ensures that there is little air in the system. Furthermore, there are no hidden corners or dead ends in the oil channel, so that every air bubble is pressed out.
Typical for Magura is the high manufacturing quality, so that you can wind down thousands of kilometers without having to worry about your safety.
