The plates of the X-SL chains are milled out and riveted with hollow bolts in a complex process. In this way, enormous weight savings are achieved without reducing stability and durability.

KMC chains are very slim. In addition to a lower weight, this construction impresses with its very quiet running and fewer chain clamps. With a width of just 5.88 mm, the 10-speed chains are among the narrowest in their class and forgive them when the rear derailleur is no longer 100% precisely adjusted.
XX-SP
Double X Durability XX-SP stands for extra extra stretch proof, a process in which all parts of the chain are specially hardened. This treatment in particular makes the bolts highly insensitive to dust and sand and thereby extends the service life enormously.
Ti-N
The chain doesn't just get a noble gold-colored look from the titanium nitride coating: TiN is one of the hardest surface treatments in the industrial sector. The surface is extremely low-friction and very easy to care for.
