With the F20 platform pedals, the milled parts specialists from Hope have made a big splash. Now the Brits from Barnoldswick are bringing the next evolutionary step onto the market with the F22.
The revised pedal body has a usable platform area of 105 x 102 millimeters. The ingenious design is milled from a solid block of aluminum 2014 T6 on a 5-axis milling machine. Their pronounced concave profile increases the contact surface and ensures an extremely stable footing. The concave shape becomes even more noticeable by using shorter pins in the middle of the pedal. The outer long and adjustable pins have a unique hexagon shape that offers even more grip. The pins are screwed in from the underside of the pedal so that the pin heads are protected by the pedal body. The asymmetrical and tapered shape of the pedals offers plenty of ground clearance in the crucial places to prevent pedal bottoming. With a newly designed axle , the pedals are now even more resistant to extreme loads. The inner workings continue to rely on the proven system of the F20 pedals with 3 industrial ball bearings and one plain bearing per pedal. Sophisticated internal and external seals effectively prevent the ingress of mud and foreign bodies. If a bearing is worn out, the pedals can be completely disassembled and easily serviced. The F22 are available in all 6 Hope anodized colors.
