After discontinuing the production of the Race brakes, the engineers at Hope always had in mind that they should be replaced by something even more superior. The result is the XCR, Hope's ultimate race brake, which doesn't shy away from trail use. Lighter, more powerful (10% more braking power compared to the Race Evo), perfect ergonomics and optimum modulation put everything else the guys from Barnoldswick have developed so far in the shade.

XCR PRO brake lever
The minimal radial design of the brake lever is suitable for easy bleeding thanks to the conventionally designed reservoir, which is what you would expect from Hope. Despite the minimalist design, details such as the adjustable lever width or the mounting clamp with hinge ensure easy installation and high functionality. New bushings ensure reduced friction and a very light feel in the lever. The look is optimized with the carbon handle and the silver anodized coating.

XCR X2 Flat Mount brake caliper
The filigree XCR X2 caliper is the result of joint development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). The weight has been reduced, the aesthetics look more modern and the response behavior is very sensitive. As usual, the caliper is milled from 2014 T6 aluminum. The diameter of the pistons has been increased in order to transfer more braking force to the brake disc. System bleeding and cable routing have also been simplified. In addition, top-mounted brake pads make it easier to check and change them. The perfect workmanship, elegant appearance and long service life of the brake are typical of Hope.
