HOPE Crank RX Carbon Crankset 68 mm | smoke
The Hope brand is known for its beautifully shaped milled parts, but has already shown with its MTB carbon cranks that it also knows how to work with carbon. The new RX Carbon crankset was designed for use on modern gravel bikes and is characterized by an optimized carbon layout, which ensures a balanced riding experience.
The special feature of this crankset is on the inside and focuses on the interfaces between the pedals and the shaft. Normally, aluminum inserts are used here for carbon fiber cranks. Hope has optimized these inserts by redesigning them into two-piece threads, which are installed after the carbon fibre arms have hardened. The insert halves are clamped around the carbon fiber arm to secure the entire construction. The inserts for the pedals are replaceable in case the pedal thread is damaged. Hope also uses a foam core in the middle of the crank arms, which dampens vibrations and regulates the stiffness of the crankset. The innovative design is rounded off by the 1K outer material, which has a higher abrasion resistance and gives the crankset the unique "Hope carbon look".
The carbon crankset naturally features the Hope Direct Mount standard for attaching the chainring, as well as the integrated puller, which makes it easier to remove the crank using an Allen key. For the crankshaft diameter of 30 millimeters, Hope offers corresponding bottom brackets for all common bottom bracket housings. As is usual with Hope, the carbon crank is also manufactured in Barnoldswick.
