HAYES disc brake Dominion A2/A4 SRL | Trail Set
With this set, consisting of a Dominion A4 for your front wheel and the Dominion A2 for the rear, you can build the ultimate trail brake on your bike.
The four pistons on the front wheel generate maximum deceleration and the two pistons on the rear wheel are perfectly controllable.
Front brake:
Braking power is everything. That was the challenge that the engineers at Hayes set themselves. The result is the completely newly developed Dominion A4.
The sensor on the lever is adjusted at the factory to the shortest possible idle travel in order to generate a crisp pressure point as soon as it is actuated. Four pistons are installed in the cold-forged, rigid brake caliper in order to be able to use the largest possible Brake Pads and thus generate maximum braking force. In addition, the generous dimensions of the brake caliper have a positive effect on heat management. The Crosshair Caliper Alignment System makes mounting and aligning your brake caliper much easier. With two grub screws on the side, the brake caliper can be adjusted quickly, precisely and without grinding.
Rear brake:
Based on the tried and tested Dominion A4, Hayes has developed a two-piston version that is at home on local trails and in cross country.
The brake caliper has been adapted from the Dominion A4 and guarantees high braking power and perfect heat management. There is an adjustment for the free travel on the lever and the associated position of the master piston. The brake promises to be intuitive and to have a defined increase in braking force when the pads hit, which ensures a high level of predictability and control. Hayes is also particularly proud of the new bleeding system: the brake caliper is equipped with two bleeding openings to ensure optimum bleeding of the system.
The position of the brake calliper on the brake calliper mount can be perfectly adjusted using a 2 mm grub screw.
The motorsport-inspired two-stroke dual-port bleeding system makes it easier to maintain your brakes and you always have optimum performance. The brake line is reinforced with Kevlar to withstand possible damage and prevent the DOT 5.1 brake fluid from spreading on the trail.
SRL (Short Reach Lever):
Hayes development team has created a proprietary lever that is ideal for small hands and provides riders with the same powerful braking force. Compromises between braking power and ergonomics are now history once and for all.
