The developers at GEMINI have always been surrounded by bicycles since their earliest youth and are now applying the knowledge they have acquired in the manufacture of composite materials, resulting from years of experience in the design of motorcycles, bicycles and components, to a high degree of perfection.
The Spaniards are now expanding their portfolio with the newly developed seat post. As with the handlebars, a great deal of attention has been paid to detail. The clamping mechanism has been rethought. The result is the patented pending system in which the saddle is bolted from above. The threaded barrel for the screw connection is inserted directly into the forged carbon uni-body of the seat post. This saves weight and makes the seatpost significantly more stable. During development, care was also taken to ensure that the clamping surface to the saddle rails is as large as possible in order to avoid load peaks and fix the saddle to the post in the best possible way. The seat post is compatible with all seat post shapes, but must not be shortened in length.
The Älsak is made of the best carbon fiber currently available on the market - Mitsubishi MR70 - which has been specially developed for the most demanding customers in the aerospace industry and is the key to greater comfort and safety. Countless tests in the laboratory and in the field confirm the perfect symbiosis of design and material, which offers optimum conditions for racing.
Titanium screws and threaded barrels underline the high-quality impression of the support and ensure that every last possible gram is saved.
