The developers at GEMINI have always been surrounded by bicycles from an early age and now apply the knowledge they have acquired in the manufacture of composite materials, resulting from years of experience in the design of motorcycles, bicycles and components, to a high degree of perfection. As with the handlebar-stem units, Gemini has rethought the geometry of the handlebar with the WÄSSAT, a lightweight, World Cup proven handlebar designed for those who need maximum stiffness, perfect downhill performance and comfort on longer tours or technical descents. The performance version of the WÄSSAT has been equipped with extra layers. Although this increases the weight compared to the featherweight version, it also makes the handlebars more robust. During development, every area of the handlebars was examined and optimized at the highest level. This made it possible to save a lot of weight compared to conventional handlebars. However, no compromises were made in terms of bending and torsional stiffness, so that you always retain control of your cockpit both on technical descents and in decisive sprints to the finish and can concentrate on the important things.

The WÄSSAT is made from the best carbon fiber currently available on the market - Mitsubishi MR70 - which has been specially developed for the most demanding customers in the aerospace industry and is the key to greater comfort and safety. Countless tests in the laboratory and off-road confirm the perfect symbiosis of design and material, which offers optimum conditions for racing.
