GARMIN Tacx Smart Trainer NEO 2T T2875
The Tacx Neo 2T is the smart trainer in a class of its own! With its sophisticated features and ultra-realistic ride feel, even the longest winter will be a thing of the past. The previous version already impressed with its low noise level, but the 2T version is now even quieter thanks to the new design of the neodymium magnets. Both noise caused by internal air turbulence and vibrations at low pedalling frequencies have been reduced to a minimum.
Thanks to its high-conductivity chip, the resistance can be adjusted extremely quickly and smoothly. Improved software compared to the Neo 2 immediately provides the necessary resistance even during uphill sprints from low speeds. With a large internal memory, the NEO 2T is equipped for future indoor cycling app functions. Adapters for 12x142 mm and 12x148 mm BOOST thru axles are included for a wide range of applications. As a further innovation compared to the Neo 2, you can also use the thru axle installed on your bike with the 2T version.
Pedal stroke analysis
The NEO 2T uses a capacitive sensor on the left and right side to detect the exact position of the legs while pedaling. In combination with the power meter, a precise analysis of the power distribution can be carried out. You can use this data to optimize your pedalling and compensate for any imbalances.
Direct drive
Clamping the rear triangle to the trainer makes training more user-friendly and realistic. By eliminating transmission components, speed, power and cadence can be measured very accurately. In addition, the direct drive is maintenance-free and, due to its design, there is no slippage or tire wear.
Smart
The NEO 2T works perfectly with the most popular training apps and software programs to give you the ultimate indoor training experience. It can be connected to your smartphone, tablet or PC via Bluetooth Smart or ANT+. Of course, the training data can also be displayed and saved on ANT+ or Bluetooth-enabled bike computers.
Reliable
The NEO 2T measures your performance with a maximum deviation of 1% so that you can precisely adhere to your training zones. Due to its design, the NEO 2T is the only roller trainer that does not need to be calibrated.
Dynamic inertia
In contrast to conventional trainers, the NEO 2T uses the principle of dynamic inertia to simulate your actual body weight. Depending on the simulated incline or your speed, the pedaling sensation changes, just like on the road.
Downhill simulation
For an even more realistic riding experience, the NEO 2T accelerates when you ride over a hill into a descent with Zwift or other software and can simulate the lighter pedal stroke on descents with gradients of up to 5%.
Virtual flywheel
The realistic riding experience is made possible by the NEO 2T's virtual flywheel. Unlike a conventional flywheel, the resistance and inertia when pedaling is controlled by a motor brake with 32 neodymium magnets that rotate around 30 coils. Depending on the rider's weight, incline and speed, the resistance is adjusted 1000 times per second via the current to create a realistic riding sensation.
Powerful
Thanks to its powerful motor brake, the NEO 2T can brake with up to 2200 watts of power at 40 km/h and simulate a gradient of up to 25%. This makes it ideal for even the most intensive forms of training, with only the rider as the limiting element.
Road Feel
In combination with Tacx films or Zwift, the NEO 2T can simulate different road surfaces such as cobblestones or gravel by means of vibrations.
Flexible
To protect the bike frame and allow you to move naturally, the frame of the NEO 2T allows a few degrees of freedom of movement to the right and left. The bike can therefore be easily pivoted when pedaling in the cradle for an even better riding experience.
Self-powered
The NEO 2T Smart can also be used at any time without a power source, as it produces its own power while riding. Only the downhill simulation is only available in mains operation. Even if you don't have a smartphone or tablet to hand, you can still train with the NEO 2T. Without software or an app, the trainer works with a progressive increase in power that precisely simulates riding on a flat road.
Low noise
Because the Neo 2T has no flywheel and no internal gearbox, it is probably the quietest trainer on the market. This means that training is possible at any time and in any place.
NOTE: The chainstays on your bike must have at least 62 millimetres of space 25 centimetres in front of the axle of the trainer (see pictures). The trainer is not compatible with bikes with Specialized SCS system with short chainstays. The NEO 2T is not compatible with wider thru axles than 12x 148 millimeter BOOST.
