READY TO SET OFF
With the Edge Explore, you don't waste any time. Setting up the bike computer is easy and you can use it for tours right out of the box. When you can see the navigation instructions you need at a glance, you won't miss the great views. That's why the Edge Explore is equipped with a 3-inch display that is bright and easy to read - in sunlight, on cloudy days and even in the rain. The touchscreen is intuitive to use and responsive. Thanks to the use of all current satellite systems (GPS, Glonass, Galileo, BeiDou), optimum positioning is possible at all times, even in difficult conditions, so that you are never blind when you are out and about.
TOWARDS THE ADVENTURE
With the Edge Explore, you can lose yourself in your adventure without losing your way. A European bike map is already pre-installed and guides you to almost all destinations - on roads through beautiful landscapes, to restaurants and bike shops. The routes are created using Trendline Popularity Routing, i.e. billions of kilometers of cycling data are included. So you can find your way around the routes and paths that are actually used by cyclists like a local. On the road, the Edge Explore provides timely turn-by-turn directions. If you stray from the route, that's no problem, because it will automatically guide you back to the right path or the starting point. And because you naturally want to travel quietly, the Explorer 2 avoids busy roads if you wish. In addition, the long battery life of up to 16 hours allows you to go for a ride without having to worry about getting lost.
BETTER SITUATIONAL AWARENESS WHEN CYCLING
The Edge Explore is compatible with Varia bike safety products, including radar and smart bike lights. Pair the radar with the Edge to receive alerts directly on the Edge display, for example when cars are approaching from behind. This gives you a good view of traffic and makes it easier for drivers to see you. The Edge Explore offers emergency assistance and an integrated accident notification that automatically sends your position to an emergency contact if you are in trouble.
CLIMBPRO
Don't be afraid of long climbs anymore. The ClimbPro function constantly provides you with information on altitude, incline and distance. This allows you to better manage your strength and cover large differences in altitude in a relaxed manner.
POWER MOUNT BRACKET
The Edge Explore 2 Power has charging pins that enable charging using the Edge Power Mount bracket on the e-bike battery or the Charge Power Pack. This means the device can always remain on the handlebars. The specific connection cable for your e-bike drive must be purchased as an option.
E-BIKE ROUTING
The Explore 2 offers specific features for the ever-growing community of e-bikers. Connect the navigation device to your e-bike system via ANT+ LEV and receive information about the battery status of your drive at all times. This data is used to check whether your route planning harmonizes with the charge status or whether alternatives need to be suggested to you if necessary.
COMMUNITY DANGER SPOTS
Share information about danger spots with the community and get more tips about potholes or obstacles. Danger zones are also displayed in the Edge route planner so that you can plan routes more safely in advance.
