In the meantime there are cassettes or cassette extensions from various manufacturers that increase the bandwidth of your 1x11 drive. For example, existing cassette systems are expanded from 11-40 teeth to 11-48 or even 11-50 teeth. The problem with this is that the rear derailleurs are usually not designed for this. The upper guide roller must be positioned very far down so that it comes under the 48 or 50 pinion. If the chain then runs on the 11th sprocket of the cassette, the distance between the sprocket and the idler pulley is very large, so that the shifting performance suffers. Garbaruk offers the perfect solution here. The special derailleur cage positions the guide rollers in the optimal place so that the guide roller can always work perfectly and the switching performance does not suffer. It expands the capacity of your rear derailleur to up to 50 teeth. You can continue to use your previous pulleys, but we recommend using the guide pulleys with 11-16 teeth that Garbaruk has matched to the cage in order to achieve the best possible performance of your drive.
Note:
In order to achieve the highest possible switching performance, Garbaruk recommends using Garbaruk cassettes and derailleur cages only for manufacturer-specific drives. SRAM XD compatible Garbaruk cassettes work without problems with SRAM components when installed and set up correctly and Shimano compatible Garbaruk cassettes harmonize best with Shimano rear derailleurs.
