Handlebar-stem units not only look good, they also offer a number of advantages. On the one hand, sensitive and breakage-prone clamping areas are reduced. Secondly, their one-piece design increases stiffness and weight can be saved compared to classic handlebar stem solutions.
The FSA SIC (Stable-Integrated-Cockpit) is one of the most sophisticated and customizable handlebar-stem units on the market. Openings on the underside of the handlebars and below the stem allow the internal routing of shift, remote and brake cables. Up to 5 cables can be routed through the handlebars. The bracket for the Ahead cap included in the scope of delivery ensures visually perfect integration of Garmin bike computers. Alternatively, the handlebars come with an out-front mount to which action cams or front lights can be attached using the GoPro-compatible adapter also included in the set.For a seamless transition from the cockpit to the frame and to adjust the handlebar height, three suitable spacers for ICR (Integrated Cable Routing) headsets and an adapter for standard headsets are included in the scope of delivery.
With an effective stem angle of -12°, the SIC full carbon cockpit ensures a flat and aggressive riding position. Despite its large handlebar width of 780 millimeters, the cockpit weighs just 265 grams.
