FOX suspension fork 2025 29" SC Float 34 F-S 120 Step-Cast GRIP SL Factory Boost shiny orange Kabolt SL 15x110 mm tapered 44 mm Offset
Next XC Level.
FOX is giving its suspension forks new damping cartridges to mark the company's 50th anniversary. The new cartridge portfolio ranges from the GRIP X2 (focus on maximum downhill performance), to the GRIP X (focus on uncompromising trail performance), to the GRIP SL cartridge (focus on light cross-country performance). What remains is the proven casting in combination with the new, lighter, bolt-on Kabolt SL thru-axle. Another highlight are the channels integrated into the dip tubes to improve lubrication and the discharge of compressed air in the casting. The proven FLOAT EVOL technology ensures perfect responsiveness. Stiff 34 mm stanchions, exclusive SKF seals and the closed cartridge ensure a long service life. So nothing stands in the way of riding fun on the trail.
34 SC CHASSIS DESIGN
The striking shape of the dip tube design is not just for looks. FOX uses a narrow design for the Step-Cast (SC) fork chassis of the 34 series to save weight. The step in the lower fork section also creates space for the spokes and the brake rotor. The 34 mm stanchions of the 34 SC have generously overlapping bushings and ensure precise transmission of the steering impulses. The FOX 34 SC therefore scores with excellent handling characteristics.
GRIP SL damping
This cartridge replaces the classic FIT4 in the cross and down-country segment. The aim was to minimize weight and generate three perfectly defined low-speed compression modes (LSC). The new cartridge is a whole 60g (100mm version) lighter than its predecessor. The completely closed mode (Firm) is particularly important. Thanks to a blow-off valve (IFP), the cartridge opens as soon as it receives a blow, so you can concentrate on the essentials. Great importance was also attached to the smooth response typical of Fox and the breakaway torque was minimized.
EVOL
The enlarged negative air chamber improves the response of the fork. This increases comfort because the breakaway torque has been reduced. In addition, a more linear spring characteristic curve offers better performance, especially in the middle spring travel ranges.
FLOAT AIR SPRING
The FLOAT air spring system reduces the breakaway torque and thus offers a highly sensitive fork and full comfort even with small bumps, for every type of rider and at different air pressures. Similar to the FLOAT suspension struts, the FLOAT suspension system is characterized by a positive and a negative air chamber, which automatically balance each other out when riding. Every rider thus enjoys the benefits of the correct, precisely balanced air pressure in both air chambers. The progression of the spring characteristic can be adjusted with our air volume spacers - allowing every rider to precisely set the characteristics of the air spring.
LOWER LEG CHANNELS
When a fork compresses, the air in the lower sections of the lower leg channels is compressed at the same time. The further the fork compresses, the more the pressure increases. This effect means that the fork responds harder and may not be able to use the full suspension travel.
The overflow channels help to solve this problem by directing the compressed air from the lower part of the fork tubes upwards, thus reducing the unintended increase in pressure. A further advantage of these channels is that the lubricating oil in the lower section of the dip tubes circulates upwards during the spring process and continuously lubricates the foam rings and the sliding bushes.
AIR VOLUME SPACERS
The FLOAT air spring on FOX forks and shocks can be fine-tuned using volume spacers to make the suspension elements more progressive or less progressive. This allows the rider to fine-tune the suspension exactly to their needs.
KASHIMA COAT
The Genuine Kashima Coat coating for a buttery smooth ride is exclusively available only from FOX, the Kashima Coat logo is applied to both stanchions. The distinctive golden Genuine Kashima Coat coating offers outstanding overall performance and ensures minimum friction and optimum responsiveness with maximum durability.
