With the Cura 4, the developers at Formula have set themselves a very ambitious goal - maximum braking power, best ergonomics and modulation values as well as excellent service friendliness. The brake lever known from the small Cura was adopted, it is the most ergonomic that Formula has developed to date and can be mounted on the left or right of the handlebar thanks to the practical flip-flop attachment.
The real innovation, however, is the new 4-piston brake caliper, each with four 18 mm brake pistons. The combination with the forged two-piece caliper and a low-friction anodized layer results in unprecedented braking power combined with high reliability. Thus, this brake can be used in the gravity area as well as on e-bikes.
The Cura 4 is now also operated with specially developed mineral oil. A higher boiling point and an extremely low freezing point characterize this brake medium compared to that of other manufacturers and thus meets the requirements of Formula. Several ventilation openings make filling and bleeding the brake child's play.
speed lock (optional)
Speed Lock technology allows the brake line to be installed and removed multiple times without losing fluid or getting air into the brake. The Speed Lock is the best option for internally wiring frames.
MixMaster
The MixMaster handlebar clamp is an option to install your Shimano and SRAM shifters directly on the Formula brake, which gives your handlebars a cleaner look.
