Description
ENVE wheelset 27.5 "M730 | Industry Nine Hydra 6-hole hubs | Boost
ENVE products have seen a rapid rise in the world of cycling. They have even been tested on the big tours like the Tour de France or the Vuelta in Spain. The carbon specialists from the USA develop only the uncompromisingly best attachments for professionals and other committed cyclists.
If you want to really let it rip downhill, the versatile M730 wheelset is the first choice for you. Built for the ultimate downhiller and already provided with puncture protection, there are practically no limits. Due to its rigidity, it can be controlled very precisely even on difficult routes and gives you a safe driving experience at all times. Together with the Industry Nine hubs and the Sapim spokes you will have a lot of fun with it.
ENVE M730 rims
The M730 rim marks the future of downhill-oriented driving through to racing. It was designed for optimal driving behavior, is incredibly stable and equipped with the most effective and lightest puncture protection on the market, the protective rim tape developed by ENVE. This gives the downhill-oriented biker the freedom to adjust the tire pressure to the desired curve characteristics and the stability on rough trails. The innovative rim profile, in connection with the patent pending, the impact energy absorbing protective rim tape, makes it possible to do without any additional puncture protection and instead to drive any desired tire type, as well as tire pressure. It is noteworthy that this innovation was implemented weight-neutral and with additional higher puncture protection.
ENVE carbon rims are developed by ENVE in the USA and manufactured in compliance with the highest quality requirements at the company's headquarters in Utah. The engineers at ENVE have years of experience with the use of carbon in the field of cycling and know what requirements a top product like these carbon rims must meet. At ENVE everything is done to use the advantages of carbon and to eliminate its disadvantages. So stiff and extremely light rims were developed in which all fibers can run without interruption, which corresponds to the best possible use of the material thickness. This principle has been perfected with the spoke holes, in that continuous fiber strands form the mount for the spoke nipples. Aluminum inserts, as are common with other carbon rims, can therefore be dispensed with during production. This reduces the weight and at the same time allows significantly higher spoke tensions which in turn allow the construction of stiffer wheels!
Industry Nine Hydra hubs
The Industry Nine Hydra Classic hubs are a real gem on every bike. Developed and produced in Asheville / North Carolina, they set themselves apart from the competition with many small technical refinements. With their externally sealed 4-way bearing and an oversized axle , they are optimally protected against environmental influences and extremely robust. So they are also ideally suited for downhill use. Beveled spoke flanges help to reduce the forces on the sensitive spoke heads and thus prevent spoke breaks. However, the pawl freewheel on the rear hub is revolutionary. It consists of a drive ring with 115 teeth and 6 staggered locking blades. These are designed so that as soon as one of them has a frictional connection, the others can also absorb torque shortly thereafter. This means that a single handle can only carry the power for a very short time. The big plus of this system is an extremely short free travel of 0.52 °, which brings clear advantages in technical passages or when accelerating hard. In addition, the fine grid leads to a unique background noise on the impeller.
The maintenance effort is also relatively low. You can disassemble and clean the hub without tools.
Sapim CX-Ray spokes
Sapim CX-Ray spokes are so-called knife spokes. The middle part is butted to a diameter of 1.5 mm during production and forged flat in the last work step. These processes solidify the structure and produce extremely durable spokes.
ENVE are convinced of the quality of their products and offer the first buyer a guarantee of 5 years from the date of purchase. All you have to do is register on their website.
